ICF is seeking to hire an enthusiastic and talented Hydroclimatologist with expertise relevant to coordinating water cycle science at the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) National Coordination Office (NCO). The successful candidate will work alongside a unique team of highly engaged and passionate professionals. In this role, our ideal candidate will facilitate the U.S. Global Energy and Water Cycle Experiment (GEWEX), serve as the NCO’s lead coordinator for the USGCRP’s “Advance Science” portfolio, which includes observations, modeling, information management and sharing, and process research and coordinate implementation of USGCRP’s water cycle related priorities.

The USGCRP coordinates and integrates global change research and supporting activities conducted by 13 Federal Agencies and Departments, and is overseen by the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) of the Executive Office of the President and by representatives from those agencies. The day-to-day activities and operations of the USGCRP are facilitated by the USGCRP NCO. The NCO is responsible for promoting interagency coordination and integration of Federal climate and global change research programs and facilitating international cooperation.

This position will be based in Washington, D.C.
