Early Stage Researcher (PhD) Positions in Atmospheric Sciences

Published: 7 June 2012

The interdisciplinary Marie-Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) Initial Training for Atmospheric Remote Sensing (ITARS) invites applications for 11 Early Stage Researcher (ESR, 3 year PhD) positions in 7 European countries. ITARS’ goal is to improve understanding of aerosols, clouds, and aerosol-cloud interaction
processes and their role in both climate and weather.

These positions will utilize high-end ground-based remote-sensing instrumentation, synergistic observations and/or mathematical methods. Preferred candidates will possess a MSc (or equivalent) in meteorology, (atmospheric) physics, mathematics, engineering, or geosciences. U.S. researchers are encouraged to apply. To view each position description and the application process, visit www.itars.net or email jobs@itars.net.

Applications are currently being accepted; the review process will begin July 1, 2012 , and will continue until the positions are filled.
