User Executive Committee Chairs Named

The first order of business at the January inaugural meeting of the newly established ARM User Executive Committee was to elect Dave Turner, NOAA/National Severe Storms Laboratory, as chair and Larry Berg, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, as co-chair. These are 2-year terms with co-chair succeeding to chair at the conclusion of the first term.

In addition, Jackie Marshall was identified as the committee administrator who will provide staff support to the committee, including organizing the meetings, taking meeting minutes, and other duties agreed upon by the chair and ARM Technical Director.

Over the next few months, the committee will work together to develop a strategy to best serve the needs of the ARM user community.

The ARM Climate Research Facility is a national scientific user facility funded through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science. The ARM Facility is operated by nine Department of Energy national laboratories.
