Leg 1a of the Multidisciplinary Drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) field campaign is complete! Click on the video to the right to watch a personal video retrospective from Leg 1a participant Misha Krassovski, an information technology engineer from Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The video covers September 21 to October 17, 2019.

Krassovski and others rode out with the expedition into the arctic ice pack, helped calibrate ARM instruments as the R/V Polarstern froze in, and then returned on another icebreaker to MOSAiC’s starting point in Norway.
