TCCONCOMPARISON
Mobile Spectrometer Comparison to TCCON
22 July 2018 - 28 July 2018
Lead Scientist: Harrison Parker
Observatory: SGP (Southern Great Plains)
Carbon dioxide and methane are known to be the 2 most important anthropogenic greenhouse gases. The SGP ARM site has a strategically located permanent remote sensing instrument (TCCON) which can provide validation to a new class of remote sensing instruments (EM27/SUNs). This cross-comparison campaign between TCCON and the EM27/SUNs will help in ensuring greenhouse gas measurements from these new remote sensing instruments are consistent with current standards and allow us to deliver accurate products.
