Portable Flux Tower Deployments

1 April 2015 - 30 October 2017

Lead Scientist: Margaret Torn

Observatory: SGP

The Portable Flux Tower deployment IOP will conduct measurements of carbon, water, and energy fluxes in two fields in the ARM SGP area. We will make measurements in fields with land cover and land management that complement the land covers currently observed by the ARM ECOR and PLFX systems. The primary goal is to generate datasets that we can use to test land models and surface forcing estimates for the SGP region. The target cover types are corn, sorghum, and hay, but the exact fields will be chosen according to where we are able to secure field access. Data will be archived with ARM and the AmeriFlux network.
