Lead Scientist: Marc Fischer

Observatory: SGP (Southern Great Plains)

The focus of this project was the prediction of landscape-scale fluxes of CO2, water, and sensible heat that drive variations in carbon cycle and regional climate (e.g., cloud formation and precipitation). Variation in these fluxes, caused by land use, management, and changing climate, requires models that are parameterized and tested against measurements made in multiple land cover types and over seasonal to inter-annual time scales. This continuation of earlier work focused on measurements necessary to test and validate regional scale carbon and climate modeling.
