Airborne Emission Spectrometer (AES) Campaign

3 May 1999 - 14 May 1999

Lead Scientist: David Turner

Observatory: SGP (Southern Great Plains)

Dave Rider (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) conducted his activity for the Airborne Emission Spectrometer to the central facility on May 3-14, 1999. The purpose of the visit was to compare his instrument with others at the Site, especially the AERI. The AES is a demonstration version of the Troposphere Emission Spectrometer (TES) that was also used in the experiment. The TES is a device similar to the AERI-X that could be used for side-by-side comparisons with the AERI-X. The TES is an EOS Chemistry Platform instrument. There were four ozone sondes launched during this time.
