NSA2009BARROWWEBCAM

Barrow Webcam for ITEX

1 September 2009 - 31 August 2012

Lead Scientist: Jerry Brown

Observatory: NSA (North Slope of Alaska)

Daily ground views were obtained of the International Tundra Experiment site (ITEX) [http://www.geog.ubc.ca/itex/] located approximately ½ mile south of the ARM 40 meter tower. A trial test indicated that the resolution was adequate to observe seasonal surface changes such as onset and melt of snow cover. The ITEX sites are located in the northern part of the Barrow Environmental Observatory (BEO) and adjacent to NOAA and USGS lands.
