The Interpolated Sonde (INTERPOLATEDSONDE) product is ultimately generated from sounding files, but indirectly, through an intermediate product, known as the Gridded Sonde VAP (GRIDDEDSONDE). GRIDDEDSONDE simply transforms standard ARM-format sounding files from one-dimensional, increasing in time and height, to a two-dimensional time-height grid, identical to the INTERPOLATEDSONDE grid.
