This is pre-CGA data from the SACR2 instrument. It is similar to other Scanning ARM Cloud Radar (SACR) data that the ARM program has been collecting at other sites. The major difference is that the SACR2 is fully polarimetric, so there are more polarization moments available in many of the data files.
sacr: SACR2 pre-CGA Ingested Data Type: Evaluation Instrument
Data were collected for use by radar scientists and engineers in evaluating the new SACR2 instrument and its use at the Oliktok site. The data set provides radar moments such as reflectivity, Doppler velocity and spectral width as well as one or more polarization moments, depending on which operational mode is in use for a given scan volume. The data were collected while scanning in Range-Height indicator (RHI) patterns, in Plan-Position Indicator patterns, and at vertical incidence.
