Atmospheric Instrument Specialist

This technical specialist appointment in the Environmental Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory will involve providing technical support for operating and maintain meteorological instruments and data collection systems including but not limited to:

  • configuring, deploying, and maintaining meteorological instrumentation such as anemometers, radiometers, temperature/relative humidity probes, soil sensors, lidars, radar wind profilers, and Campbell Scientific data loggers.
  • computer management, instrumentation, and digital communications networking, and data acquisition/processing programming experience.
  • troubleshooting and resolving instrument problems both remotely and while working in the field.
  • Data quality assurance of operational instrumentation.
