Joint Meeting to Connect Young Researchers and Federal Representatives

Published: 13 March 2015

The 13th Atmospheric Chemistry Colloquium for Emerging Senior Scientists (ACCESS XIII) brings together young researchers in atmospheric chemistry and representatives of the principal federal agencies that fund research to engage in scientific discussion and interaction. The meetings will forge future professional relationships and benefit the atmospheric science community by spreading awareness of innovations in atmospheric chemistry through presentations by ACCESS participants.

Brookhaven National Laboratory will host ACCESS at the facilities on Long Island, New York, from July 30 to August 2, 2015. This meeting will be held in conjunction with the Gordon Research Conference in Atmospheric Chemistry, which follows on August 2 to 7, 2015. All expenses for participants at both ACCESS and the GRC, including registration for the GRC and transportation to and from originating locations, will be provided.

To be eligible to participate in ACCESS, an applicant must have received a doctorate from an accredited university after June 1, 2013, or provide certification that in all probability he/she will have received a doctorate degree by August 31, 2016. The applicant’s thesis or postdoctoral research must be in the field of atmospheric chemistry. Attendance is limited to 25 participants.
