The data set contains time- and height-resolved (10-min and 60-m) temperatures derived from the ARM Raman lidars at SGPC1, ENAC1, and OLIM1. Radiosonde data were used for calibration.

Purpose
The data set represents output from a revised version of the Raman lidar temperature VAP, which will replace the older temperature VAP. We are currently working to get this VAP implemented operationally at the DMF. This will involve integrating the new code into ADI, which will likely take a few months to complete. In the meantime, we are making these new data available through the evaluation archive in order to enable access by the science community.

Data Consistency and Completeness | The data set contains bad values that have been flagged with -9999. Also, each of the primary variables has an associated precision (random uncertainty) variable. Users can identify and filter out poor-quality data by imposing a precision (or relative precision) threshold. A relative precision threshold of about 5% is effective at removing much of the poorer-quality measurements (see the quciklook images). |
Access Restriction | No access constraints are associated with this data. |
