blueball.2004 Science Team Meeting has concluded! A record-breaking 316 scientists and researchers participated in a series of plenary and poster sessions and working group meetings this week. Traveling from all over the world, 71 scientists from 22 different countries were in attendance! One participant traveled 8,567 miles to attend the meeting. Countries represented include China, South Korea, Nigeria, Russia, Czech Repulic, Bulgaria, Switzerland, France, United Kingdom, and Canada.

"ARM brought the study of climate change into 'big time' science," Dr. Ari Patrinos, Associate Director of DOE's Office of Biological and Environmental Research, said. Dr. Patrinos kicked off the Plenary session on Tuesday morning with a presentation on DOE's perspective of the ARM Program. "ARM is doing science that is very relevant and important. Keep up the good work!" Dr. Patrinos said as he concluded his speech.

Also, Wanda Ferrell, DOE ARM Program Manager, and Peter Lunn, DOE Atmospheric Science Program Manager spoke.

Looking ahead to 2005! Because of the increased number of onsite registrations, we were unable to provide notions (i.e., ARM portfolios) for everyone who attended. We had a limited supply of extra programs on hand. Preregistration helps us with ordering enough of these items for all attendees. We encourage everyone to register for next year's meeting early.

The 2005 Science Team Meeting will be held in Daytona Beach, Florida, March 14-18!

2004 Agenda. A preliminary agenda is now available. The agenda continues to be updated, so bookmark this page for easy retrieval!
Breakout Meeting Room Request Form. Meeting rooms can be requested in advance of the Science Team Meeting for any breakout sessions being planned. Please note that your request will be considered within the overall framework of the existing meeting agenda. We will notify you if changes to your request are necessary. An online version of the Breakout Room Map is available.

The poster submission form for the 2004 Science Team Meeting is now closed. The deadline for submitting a poster abstract and for inclusion in the Science Team Meeting Program has passed. For those abstracts that missed the submission deadline, please bring 250 copies to the meeting March 22 to be distributed to participants.

Poster InformationThe poster boards are 4 ft x 8 ft with a 1-inch frame. Each presenter is allotted half a board, so that makes 46-inches high x 47-inches wide available for each poster. Push pins and removable plastic adhesive are the only medium that will be accepted for hanging posters. Push pins will be provided at the Science Team Meeting for your convenience.

Poster Layout is now available.

Poster abstracts for the 2004 meeting may be viewed by Author or Title, or check out the ARM Program Conference Proceedings web page for proceedings from years past.

2004 Cover Competition. The cover competition for the 2004 Science Team Meeting program was successfully completed. A winner was selected and will be unveiled at the meeting. We would like to thank all our contributors for their interest and participation and encourage everyone to be thinking about next year.
