2002 ARM Science Team Meeting

Meeting Highlights. The 2002 Science Team Meeting was held in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the Hilton Hotel. There were 286 attendees registered for the meeting; 54 of whom were international participants representing 20 different countries. During the ARM Program overview session, it was reported that ARM is alive and healthy after 12 years. The science is solid, and funding remains consistent. The preliminary proposals that DOE is receiving have been very, very strong. The ARM Program is making substantial progress toward describing the Southern Great Plains atmospheric column.


2002 Agenda.


Fun Fact. Another fun fact reported at the meeting, 80% of ARM data users are non-ARM scientists. The ARM Archive averages 450 users per month, which represents approximately 15 users per day. The average data request last year was 13 GB/day (2200 files/day).
