A new Shortwave Spectroradiometer (SWS) will be deployed at the ARM Southern Great Plains Central Facility in early 2006. The SWS is a moderate resolution sensor which will measure the zenith spectral radiance with 1.4 field-of-view. The SWS is sensitive over the wavelength range from 350 – 2200 nm with 8-12 nm resolution. We will describe the instrument and step through the pre-deployment calibration procedures and test results. Initial results from the SGP will be presented and compared to the SGP All Sky Imager.

This poster will be displayed at the ARM Science Team Meeting.
