The Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science, Lund University, invites applications for a postdoctoral position. The university in Lund, Sweden, is seeking a postdoctoral associate for the atmospheric modeling group who will work in the development and application of numerical models for simulation of clouds and cloud systems. Working in a teaming environment, the associate will be part of a successful team that is known for creating new cloud models and applying them to tackle problems related to severe weather, cloud glaciation, lightning, and mechanisms for aerosol effects on cold clouds. Candidates should be familiar with FORTRAN and other scripting languages.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in atmospheric science, preferably with masters or bachelors degree in physics, engineering, math, or a related numerical scientific area. Other desired qualifications are proficiency in mathematics, natural sciences, programming skills, programming languages, and experience in creation of aspects of numerical models.
