Like a modern day paper boy, RSS (short for Really Simple Syndication) is a web-based subscription service that delivers Internet news right to your doorstep—or web browser, in this case. This week, the ARM website joined legions of other websites by adding an RSS “feed” capability to our new ARM News Center. The RSS feed will alert readers to the latest ARM science and ARM Climate Research Facility news, events, feature stories, facility updates, research highlights, data announcements, and notable changes to the website. These news alerts, delivered directly to your browser, will include a headline, a short teaser sentence or two, and a link to the full article, by selecting a specific news category or by choosing “All Categories.”

The new ARM News Center consolidates all the categories mentioned above, which previously were displayed on a number of different ARM web pages The News Center also has its own search feature that encompasses all 2008 ARM news. More years will be added to this search capability as we move them into our RSS feed database. Stay tuned, or try subscribing, as we continue to add RSS to other areas of the ARM website.

Subscribers must use an RSS reader to receive the feeds. Be on the lookout for that RSS icon!
