The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program is accepting new applications for supplemental funds to conduct part of applicant’s thesis research at a DOE laboratory in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist within areas that address scientific challenges central to the Office of Science mission.
These research opportunities are expected to advance graduate students’ overall doctoral thesis while providing access to the expertise, resources, and capabilities available at the DOE laboratories. The award period for these research projects range from 3 to 12 consecutive months.
DOE SCGSR research areas include:
- Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR)
- Basic Energy Sciences (BES)
- Biological and Environmental Research (BER)
- Fusion Energy Sciences (FES)
- High Energy Physics (HEP)
- Nuclear Physics (NP)
