Find out how researchers are using data from U.S. Department of Energy’s Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Climate Research Facility—the world’s most comprehensive outdoor laboratory and data archive for research related to atmospheric processes that affect Earth’s climate—to improving regional and global climate models. This year, DOE’s Office of Biological and Environmental Research will also host four town hall meetings.

A press workshop (conference) will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 18, at at the Fall Meeting Press Conference Room (Room 3000, Moscone West, Level 3). The workshop will describe CalWater2 and the ARM Cloud Aerosol Precipitation Experiment (ACAPEX), an interagency, interdisciplinary, field campaign starting in January. CalWater2/ACAPEX mission scientists Marty Ralph and Kim Prather from University of California – San Diego, Ruby Leung from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and Chris Fairall from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Earth Systems Research Laboratory will discuss the campaign and accomplishments to date. See the Scripps Institution of Oceanography UC San Diego news for the full announcement.

See the complete presentation page for dozens more oral and poster sessions, including invited talks. AGU’s 2014 scientific program is also available.
