In January 2009, Jackie Marshall took over the duties of providing administrative support to the ARM Technical Director’s office. This office is responsible for chairing the ARM Infrastructure Management Board, as well as oversight of overall program budget integration, instrument and software engineering, the ARM website, the ARM Data Quality office, and public relations. Jackie primarily assists Jim Mather, ARM Technical Director, to maintain comprehensive and timely knowledge of ARM activities and business; establish office priorities; assist with reporting and website administration; and serve as a key interface to internal and external inquiries. She will also organize the annual ARM Science Board meeting.

Jackie is filling the position vacated by Rosemary Ross, who retired in January after nearly 15 years supporting the ARM Program, and almost 20 years at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Rosie started her tenure with ARM in the Engineering Group, then moved to her role supporting the ARM Technical Director’s office when the formal user facility structure was established in 2004. Through her valuable assistance to ARM colleagues over the years, she was a familiar face and friendly voice to many.  A fond farewell to Rosie, and a warm welcome to Jackie!
