The Joint Assembly meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) will be held in Toronto, Canada, May 24-27, 2009. The event will host over 3,100 participants and will feature presentations highlighting the latest developments in geophysical science, including instrumentation, equipment, software, and programs.
Of interest to the ARM community will be a special session titled “Clouds, Radiation and Feedbacks,” which will include information regarding the role that advanced observations and modeling can have in the treatment of clouds in weather forecast and climate models. Organizers are particularly seeking submissions that include long-term surface and satellite observations, climate and forecast model simulations, as well as the effects of clouds on radiation, precipitation, and moisture fields.
The deadline for abstract submissions is March 4, 2009. For more information regarding submission guidelines or the AGU membership requirements, visit the Assembly website.
