Abstracts Wanted for NCAR Climate Data Workshop

The National Center for Atmospheric Research is hosting the Next Generation Climate Data Products Workshop. This workshop will bring together statistical and data scientists with those modeling climate and climate impacts to share ideas on improving the creation of data products. The Next Generation Climate Data Workshop, as part of the IMAGe 2013 Climate Analytics Theme-of-the-Year, will bring together the necessary knowledge and tools to evaluate, improve, and implement better science products and decision-support structures.

A portion of the workshop agenda will feature presentations by graduate students and earlier career scientists. Travel fellowships are also available and will be awarded on a competitive basis.

Abstracts are due April 30. Notification of acceptance will be on May 10. In addition to the abstract, please submit the following:

  • NSF style biographical sketch (2 pages)
  • Brief statement of interest (1 page).

Abstract and associated material should be emailed to Andrew Finley by the April 30 deadline. All material should be compiled into a single PDF document. The email must include “NCAR Workshop Application” in the subject line. For full submission information, visit the workshop website.
