Where do scientists get their data?

The Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Climate Research Facility provides continuous data from heavily instrumented fixed sites in the United States (Alaska and Oklahoma), the Tropical Pacific (Australia and Papua New Guinea), and soon in the Azores. These measurements are supplemented through mobile observation facilities and research aircraft at other locations during periodic field campaigns. All data obtained are freely available to the global science community through the ARM Data Archive.

The ARM Mobile Facility, currently operating at Cape Cod National Seashore in Massachusetts, moves to Brazil for the GOAMAZON field campaign in 2014.
At the European Geophysical Union’s General Assembly 2013, visitors to the ARM Facility exhibit (#4) can learn about ARM capabilities and data collections for climate research, as well as field campaigns in the United States and:
