A day of rest has been decreed (or is that demanded…?). This was Octoberwest in Steamboat, so there were many off-road bikers carousing the slopes in various races and competitions. The Aspens are rapidly turning a golden hue, moving down the slopes, preambling the coming winter. The locals have been uniformly friendly and welcoming, some hoping we can make snow instead of studying it. We, of course, are hoping it holds off just a little longer…
