HK-AIR provides information about the monitored temperatures in the cabin of the aircraft during flight. Temperatures in the cabin were controlled via three freon air conditioners run off the aircraft’s auxiliary power unit cooling different sections of the cabin. Temperatures were measured via a one-wire system. Due to power constraints on the Gulfstream aircraft, an on-flight engineer controlled and monitored the air conditioner’s usage and cabin temperatures to ensure the conditioners didn’t fail and temperatures remained below 40 deg C, the maximum operation temperature for most instrumentation.
