isccpcld > ISCCP Cloud Data Around the ARM SitesVAP Type(s) > External

ISCCP data (Rossow and Schiffer, 1999 and Rossow, et.al. 2005) are widely used in the climate modeling community. Within our LLNL CCPP-ARM Parameterization Testbed (CAPT) team, we have been using the ISCCP data to evaluate modeled clouds. We have taken the original ISCCP data and generated subsets which include the original ISCCP optical depth cloud top pressure matrix, derived cloud types (e.g., cirrus, stratus, etc) and the Infrared derived cloud top pressures. These data have a 3-hourly time resolution and are output for the nearest four grid-points surrounding the ARM site of interest. The period January 1992-June 2006 is covered.
