WATERISOTOPE

Manus Water Isotope Investigation

1 April 2013 - 31 December 2014

Lead Scientist: Jessica Conroy

Observatory: twp, twp

Our research involved 1) a field component, during which we established a rainwater and seawater collection program and measured water vapor isotopes continuously during a site visit to Manus, 2) measuring the stable isotopic composition of waters collected from Manus, and 3) analyzing the water isotope data in the context of on-site meteorological data and gridded climate datasets. Manus was ideal for this intensive study because it was heavily instrumented and represented the climatically distinct warm pool region of the Tropical Pacific
