2013 Lower Atmospheric Boundary Layer Experiment

28 May 2013 - 1 July 2013

Lead Scientist: David Turner

Observatory: sgp, sgp

Instruments were deployed at the SGP Central Facility to investigate how the turbulence profiles may change over short horizontal distances. This study was primarily sensitive to the surface conditions upwind of these instruments, and thus help to better characterize the SGP site in general. These four instruments included 2 Doppler wind lidars (both are from Halo Photonic and are virtually identical to the ARM Doppler lidar) and a sodar.
