WINTERSCM

Winter SCM IOP
19 January 1998 - 8 February 1998
Lead Scientist: David Randall
Observatory: sgp, sgp
An SCM IOP was conducted at the SGP from January 19 to February 8, 1998. The goal of this IOP was to sample winter weather conditions (the first such IOP since 1994, when only 3 boundary facilities were installed, and interference problems still existed). A total of 840 sondes were launched, with 1 missing and only 4 terminating below 10,000 m (10 km). A table summarizing the sonde launches is available.
