Description
Brookhaven National Laboratory conducted a series of aircraft flights with the DOE G-1 aircraft during the Summer 2002 New England Air Quality Study (NEAQS/NAOPEX). The principal objective of these flights was to conduct a regional survey of aerosol/oxidant precursors, aerosol mass loading, composition, and microphysics. On various days flights extended from central NY to the North Atlantic Ocean east of Boston. On two of the flights over the North Atlantic, measurements were made in conjunction with the NOAA research vessel the Ron Brown.
